April 11 thru 26th 2020 Los Angeles will host an International Dance Event.

Debbie Allen and Nigel Lythgoe O.B.E. will be presenting the Inaugural the Los Angeles International Dance Festival to showcase the talents of Angelino dancers and choreographers, while bringing internationally acclaimed companies & dancers to L A venues.

Los Angeles International Dance Festival (LAIDF) 2020

The Los Angeles International Dance Festival (LAIDF) is a 16 day dance experience that will entertain, educate and inspire audiences of all ages with performances, films, workshops and master-classes in both traditional and alternative venues around the city. 

Supported by the mayor's office, major foundations, corporations, as well as the music, film and television industry - LAIDF will shine a light on the achievements of our dance community. Embracing National Dance Day, LAIDFaims to unite artistic and creative forces that have made Los Angeles the entertainment capital of the world!

Engagement Opportunities

Performances- L.A. based dance companies and individual artists will perform at venues of all sizes across the city. 

Workshops- Professional dancers will have the opportunity to participate in workshops with local companies. Additionally, Angelenos of all ages and abilities will have the opportunity to experience the joy of dance. 

Education/Youth- Non-profit arts organizations and students in the Los Angeles Unified School District will have opportunities to experience live performances, workshops and a youth stage to share the work they are creating. 

Dance For All - Diverse venue settings will allow for a wide range of audience participation across the city. This will include site specific performances and/or workshops at the Children's Hospital, Dance for Autism and more.

Community– Mixers bringing the L.A. industry together to celebrate dance in LA!

Ladies Night

Los Angeles International Dance Festival is proud to present three extraordinary LA dance companies, ATE9, TL Collective and Barak Ballet. All founded by three brilliant women, Danielle Agami, Micaela Taylor and Melissa Barak. They share this evening’s very special one-off performance justifiably called “Ladies Night.”

Choreographer/Dancer (TL Collective)

Micaela Taylor, one of Dance Magazine’s "25 to Watch" for 2019 founded the TL Collective in 2016. She is Ford Theatre’s 2019 artist-in-residence. Her company is known to be where the fusion of contemporary dance and theatrical hip hop intertwine. Including elements of groove, acrobatics, accompanied with high level athleticism.
